Whom are we looking for?

EvoMarine is looking for a project manager to organize and oversee the production activity of our company in Saint Nazaire shipyard, with experience in pipe fabrication, the ability to coordinate a team of workers and good administrator qualities. You will ultimately be responsible for the smooth running of all production activity and the output quality. This role combines your technical knowledge, personality, and production knowledge.

The goal is to ensure an efficient and productive manufacturing process that meets customer requirements.

What will you do as a member of our team?

  • Attends the technical meetings related to the assigned project
  • Together with the technical department, decides the structure of the team and working hours/project total working time based on the project budget
  • Together with the technical department, decides the types and quantity of tools and consumables for the project
  • Before the project start, reassess the project schedule and updates the development to the Operational manager
  • During assignment onboard or assigned working place, coordinates the development of the project according to technical specifications, SOW or client requests
  • One day before the start of the project ensures the issuance of the hot work permit
  • Keeps continuous contact with ship staff for information related to project development and possible problems which may arise
  • Structures the human resources in teams for daily tasks to maximize them efficiency
  • Follows up the activity of each team member to comply with the time and job specification, as well as quality checks of work performed
  • Applies corrective actions in case a team member does not comply with the job instructions, including dismissal from project if necessary
  • Permanent asses of the job development and asks for additional manpower for safe and timely delivery of the project
  • Assists the team in case of any problems arising during project
  • Keeps permanent contact with the technical and HR departments in the office for daily reporting of developments.
  • In case additional materials and tools are required during projects, make, and send the list to the procurement officer
  • On completion of the project, tests the well-functioning of the delivered project or services while obtaining the sign-off sheet from vessel staff
  • Makes the inventory of the tools and remaining consumables at the end of the project, as well as packaging for the dispatching of the tools and consumables at designated warehouses
  • Collects and distributes sign-off formalities to the team members while making sure that vessel staff is aware of sign-off timing
  • Visits head office for project feedback and team member assessment

Qualifications, personal abilities, and skills

  • A university degree in engineering.
  • Dynamic person.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar jobs.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft office.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Good knowledge about naval tools, materials, and consumables.
